A Celebration of Western Maine’s
Local Foods Movement in Downtown Norway

Saturday, August 12th, 2017
12Noon–9pm  •  Longley Square

Come & Enjoy.

You'll hear music as you approach downtown Norway starting at 12pm, interspersed with information about local farmers, local food, local brews, and local action. We believe that to have an impact globally, we have to come together and create locally. Creating a local food system that nourishes body, mind and soul is one place to start and you can find out all about it when you come and enjoy.

Local food.

Enjoy a harvest bounty, and learn about how this agricultural revival is building healthier communities with stronger economies, while nurturing our natural environment.
The Festival will showcase the food and agricultural renaissance in the foothills of Western Maine.

An activist is one who is
actively involved in creating community.

Jasmine Guy

Local brew.

Maine brews are all the buzz with over 90 breweries including nano-, micro-, and regional craft-breweries. The Festival will highlight brewers in and around the western foothills of Maine and beyond with a focus on Maine grains, hops, and malts. Join us for a beer!

Saving our planet, lifting people out of poverty, advancing economic growth... these are one and the same fight. We must connect the dots between climate change, water scarcity, energy shortages, global health, food security and women's empowerment. Solutions to one problem must be solutions for all.

Ban Ki-moon

Local arts & entertainment.

“The artist, like the scientist, has a crucial role to perform in our society,” John Sabraw explained to HuffPost. “See things differently, act on this vision, report the failures and successes.”

I know there is strength
in the differences between us.
I know there is comfort, where we overlap.
