AUGUST 11, 2018 • 12–8 • Norway, Maine
Learn how this agricultural revival is building healthier communities with stronger economies, while nurturing our natural environment. The Festival showcases the food and agricultural renaissance in the foothills of Western Maine and brings a wide range of food producers and vendors, food access, education and community programs. Music and art will also fill the sidewalks and parks of Downtown Norway.
Organized by Community Food Matters, Oxford’s Food Council, a project of the Center for an Ecology-Based Economy.
The Foothills Food Festival is all about supporting our local farmers and workers in the food business, so we are not charging an admission fee. However, we are requiring that food vendors, not farmers, pay a $50 nonrefundable fee.
Once your application has been approved, please mail a check with Memo "Foothills Food Festival Vendor Fee" to:
Center for an Ecology-Based Economy (CEBE)
447 Main Street Norway, Maine 04268
Please contact CEBE if you have questions at 207-739-2101.
A sponsorship of the event will assure that we have good promotion of the Foothills Food Festival locally and statewide, assuring a financially successful day for all participating vendors. If you want your business/organization to be an official sponsor, you have the opportunity to participate in our sponsorship packages. Participating is an opportunity for extra marketing perks and festival vouchers.
Contact Maisey Griffin for a Sponsor Application: info [at] foothillsfoodfestival [dot] org or call 207-595-8126.
Vendors & Farmers Support Each Other
In the spirit of this event, we are requiring that each vendor purchases at least one type of food from a local farmer to integrate into your offerings. Download a list of farmers and products here. Also, check out the Maine Food Atlas to see where your local farmers are and when farmers’ markets are happening around the area.
